These are my mountains

I thought I would add a number of images of panoramas that I’ve generated on the German Make Panoramas website of views from Knockfarrel. Obviously the view from there is dominated to the north by the great whale shape of Ben Wyvis, with it’s long ridge that stretches SW-NE for at least 5 km or more. The most distant views you can make out up there in good weather is 83 km towards Cairngorms in the east. It’s not possible to see Ben Nevis from Knockfarrel because it’s just a wee bit low at 218 metres, but if you have the opportunity on a clear day, give yourself a treat and climb up Cioch Mhor from the heights (and before the pylons and the planned wind farm decimate the place), that’s higher at 482 metres, and you can make out the distinctive shape of the Ben to the south if you remembered to bring your distance glasses with you😉

Don’t forget you can click on any image in the gallery to enlarge it.
