I notice that McColls is undergoing some refurbishment at the moment as it transitions to become a Morrisons Daily store. More importantly the concrete ramp that was recently introduced, by tipping a load of concrete out a cement mixer, has been excavated to reveal the old step once again😊. The guy in charge said to me today that rumours of the Post Office moving to it’s own area at the back of the shop were untrue, and that things were basically going to stay much the same as they were, which is a pity because it’s always been a bit awkward knowing which queue to join when it was busy. I forgot to ask him about the step, maybe they’ll but a proper ramp in this time for wheelchair access, but I doubt it. Morrison’s reopens on the 9th of June, hopefully they’ll have enough staff to run the Post Office on a full time basis then, but I doubt that too.
