Power line to be buried to avoid spoiling Cuillin views

It’s not impossible to change the plans of SSENSSEN Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks is a trading name of Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution Limited Registered in Scotland transmission it seems. I can’t see why the views around Loch Kinellan or down along the Cats Back have to change to accommodate the new high voltage network planned to come into operation by 2030. In fact the route might well be more direct if it went underground than if it stayed on the surface strung between 57 M pylons.

I wholly agree. With the precedent of the Sky/Cullin SSENSSEN Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks is a trading name of Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution Limited Registered in Scotland decision what would be the objection to installing similar underground cables in the proposed Wick to Beauly pathway, thereby dispensing with 50-60 pylons across the Strathpeffer, Contin, Jamestown vista? A question for SSEN.
